The mu2e collaboration has been formed to investigate the possibility mounting an experiment at the Fermi National AcceleratorLaboratory (Fermilab) to search for muon to electron conversion in muons captured on nuclei.
This experiment is motivated by the physics goals of the "Meco" experiment, originally proposed for the Brookhaven National Laboratory.
